The counties range in population from Daggett, which had 949 residents as of a 2006 estimate, to Salt Lake County, with 996,374 residents.[1]

Legislative reform proposed
Utah Senate Bill 18 (2009) was proposed in the Utah State Senate on February 2, 2009. The bill would require all cities, counties, school districts and special districts in the state to post their budgets online.[2]
